DISCONTINUED DAY #2 ESSENCE - from TE Fruity + 50's Girls Reloaded

ENG: here we are with a new Discontinued Day, the monthly twinsie post dedicated to nail polishes or makeup that are no more available in stores. In this second post I'm going on with two other Trend Editions by Essence: two shades from the collection Fruity (april 2012, I've already swatched One Kiwi a Day  in the past, you can find the post here) and one from 50's Girls Reloaded (july/august 2011).

ITA: eccoci ad un altro Discontinued Day, la giornata del mese dedicata agli smalti o al makeup "discontinued", ovvero i prodotti ormai irreperibili perchè provenienti da vecchie edizioni limitate o perchè tolti dal commercio per svariati motivi. In questo secondo appuntamento continuo con altre due Trend Edition di Essence: due smalti dalla collezione Fruity (di aprile 2012, di cui ho già postato in passato un terzo smalto, One Kiwi a Day, trovate il post qui) e uno dalla 50's Girls Reloaded (luglio/agosto 2011).

ESSENCE - FRUITY - BANANA

ENG: I was fascinated by this light pastel and pearly yellow, because I think it's perfect for a delicate look, but it also has a strong effect with tanned hands, so, a polish for all seasons. It's very cute, but the formula is not as cute as I wished: I got the full coverage just at the third coat, and the coats weren't very thin, so the final appearance is "fat" and was also very long to dry. Do you know any dupe more pigmented than this? :P

ITA: questo giallo pastello chiaro e perlato mi intrigava, lo trovo perfetto per un look delicato, ma anche per un contrasto più forte quando si hanno mani abbronzate, uno smalto per tutte le stagioni, insomma. Purtroppo, però, pur essendo molto carino a vedersi, l'applicazione non è altrettanto carina: la coprenza totale l'ho ottenuta solo alla terza mano di colore, e le passate non erano sottili, quindi il risultato è stata una massa abbastanza cicciotta e lunghissima da asciugare. Avete consigli su possibili dupe più scriventi? :P

ESSENCE - FRUITY - STRAWBERRY

ENG: after I catched up the green and the yellow, the I wanted the peachy shade from this collection, but a friend of mine found this pink and I was too much in love with this "seeds" finish to refuse her kindness. So I own this lovely "strawberry ice cream pink" and I like it, but it doesn't match very well with my skintone; for this reason I added a few nail stickers from GotBeauty brand. Formulation of this polish is much better than the one of the yellow shade from the same collection, but worse than the quality of the green one: coverage is good, but it still dries very slowly. By the way, those seeds in the base make me hungry!

ITA: dopo il giallino e il verdino, avrei voluto lo smalto pesca di questa collezione, ma ero troppo ingrifata da questo finish "a semini" per rifiutare il rosa, quando una mia amica mi ha detto di avere trovato solo questo "rosa gelato alla fragola" in un display. Non che non mi piaccia, solo che sbatte un casino col mio sottotono di pelle, e per questo  motivo ho aggiunto qualche stickers della GotBeauty, altrimenti sembrava non avessi neanche le unghie! XD La formulazione è molto migliore di quella del giallo banana della medesima collezione, ma peggiore di quella del verde kiwi; sebbene la coprenza sia maggiore, e quindi si possono fare strati più sottili, l'asciugatura è stata ugualmente lenta. Però quanto adoro quei semini, mi fanno fame!

ESSENCE - 50'S GIRL RELOADED - 03 I'M A MARINE GIRL

ENG: once upon a time there was a gorgeous blue shimmer that I really really loved: Pupa - 701 China Blue. It was a one coater, extremely pigmented, a deep and intense color, also very long lasting... Simply gorgeous! It had just one lack: it dried up in the bottle after only two applications, so I had to start a hunt for a dupe. This Essence is quite close to the goal: colour and finish are the same, but pigmentation isn't at the same level than my previous treasure. By the way, it's amazing this one, too! Stickers are from Mi-Ny!

ITA: eccoci arrivati al pezzo forte di questo post, a mio parere. Anni fa avevo un blu shimmer che adoravo, il Pupa - 701 China Blue: one coater, colore pieno, profondo, intenso, durata eccellente... Spettacolare! Ma si è seccato tantissimo dopo due soli utilizzi e quindi ho cercato un dupe per sostituirlo. Con questo Essence ci sono quasi: il colore e il finish sono uguali, ma la formulazione, invece, è meno pigmentata e ci vogliono due passate di colore, ma alla fine è stupendo anche questo! Gli stickers sono della Mi-Ny!

ENG: since I didn't have enough stickers for all my nails, then I used a different type for my right hand, from the same kit of decals. P.S. sorry but my right hans always has very short nails and with different lenght... It can't be helped: I'm not able to be more careful to my nails and they always broke (up with me)! XD

ITA: visto che non avevo abbastanza stickers uguali per tutte le dita, sulla mano destra ho messo questi altri, che facevano parte dello stesso set di decals. P.S. la mia mano destra ha sempre le unghie cortissime e di lunghezze diverse, non ce la farò MAI in tutta la vita a limitarmi nell'usarle per evitare di spaccarle! XD

TOTALLY RANDOM SUNDAY #43

SWAP WITH JULIA - PART 1

ENG: this is already my second (or maybe the third?) swap with Julia, a lovely American girl who I met on  MakeUpAlley a couple of years ago. It's more or less a whole year that we catch and hold stuff for each other: she sent me two packages but only one arrived, because a few problems with German (German? Long story...) custom office. By the way, the other shipping is just reminded for the future. In this post you're going to see a dozen of Zoya nail polishes bought from US official site on 50% sale off: they aren't all for me, but 6 for me and 6 for my buddies Angela and Daniela! ♥  Next week, instead, you'll see the other things in the swap from various brands. :)

ITA: credo che questo sia il mio secondo (o terzo?) swap con Julia, un'adorabile ragazza americana conosciuta su MakeUpAlley ormai un paio di anni fa. Per questo swap sarà un anno, o forse addirittura di più,  che mettiamo reciprocamente da parte cose l'una per l'altra: lei mi ha spedito due pacchetti, ma uno dei due, purtroppo, dovrà tornare indietro ed essere rispedito una seconda volta, dannata dogana tedesca (tedesca? E' una storia lunga e noiosa...) che chiede cose assurde (e non aggiungo altro...). Questa domenica posterò le cose che sono arrivate con il pacchetto sano e salvo, ovvero una dozzina di Zoya presi dal sito US in offerta al 50% (quindi $4 cadauno!): 6 smalti per me e 6 per le mie amicicette Angela e Daniela! ♥  Prossima domenica, invece, posterò le altre cose, che sono di marche varie. :)

ZOYA - BLAIR

ENG: a dark and deep cold red with a shimmer finish, almost metal; a classic, but still very classy, for me!

ITA: un rosso freddo scuro e profondo shimmer, quasi metallizzato; un classico, ma di classe, per me!

ZOYA - COLA

ENG: so cool, a cola red! A peculiar polish with a watery finish, very nice! For Angela ;D

ITA: un rosso caghello! Mitico! Ehm... Smalto atipico dal finish acquoso, bello! Per Angela ;D

ZOYA - CRYSTAL

ENG: two pics for  this glass flecks in sky blue, silver and gold! One for me and one for my friend Angela. :)

ITA: due foto per questo glass fleck celeste, argento e oro! Uno per me e uno per la mia amica Angela. :)

ZOYA - KALISTA

ENG: another beautiful red, warmer than Blair, more shimmer and even darker. For ANgela, again! ;D

ENG: sometimes we need of a basic, don't we? This one seems to be the perfect match for my skintone.

ITA: un basico ogni tanto ci vuole no? Questo mi sembrava quello che poteva abbinarsi meglio alla mia pelle.

ENG: a clear base with green/blue flakies. This baby will be adopted from Daniela! ;D

ITA: un flakie a base trasparente e particelle verdi/blu. Questo bimbo sarà adottato da Daniela! ;D

ENG: piiiiink! My cryptonite! This one is not for me, in fact, but for Dany. By the way, it's super opaque.

ITA: roooosaaa! Criptoniiiiiteeee! Infatti non è mio, ma per Dany. Però devo dire che è super coprente.

ZOYA - SKYLAR

ENG: hard to define... Maybe a dusty sky blue with silver and multicolor shimmer? For Dany ;D

ITA: difficile da definire... Un azzurro polvere con shimmer argento e vagamente multicolor? Per Dany ;D

ZOYA - VALERIE

ENG: It's mine, in the end! This purple is super shimmer with a hint of duochrome in the bottle, enchanting.

ITA: èmmmio, finalmente! E' un viola super shimmer con un accenno bicromatico nella boccetta, stupOndo.

ZOYA - YARA

ENG: a lemming that I wanted for a long time, a golden shimmer olive!

ITA: un altro smalto che bramavo per me da tanto, un oliva con shimmer dorato! 

ZOYA - ZUZA

ENG: last, but not least, this one was for Dany, but she already has it, so it's mine and I'm very happy! *_*

ITA: ultimo ma non ultimo, questo era di Dany, ma lo aveva già, così ora è mio e me felice! *_*

Max Factor - 44 Graffiti

ENG: I forgot to post this baby! Poor baby... I bought it at Sirene Blu months ago, I've already posted its little bro, but then I forgot this one in the drawer... Poor poor baby... ç_ç

ITA: piccolino, mi ero dimenticato di lui! Ho preso questo smalto da Sirene Blu mesi e mesi fa, ho postato da mo' l'altro che ho comprato insieme a lui, e lui, invece, è finito dimenticato nel cassettino, poverello. ç_ç

MAX FACTOR - MAX EFFECT - 44 GRAFFITI

ENG: when Max Effect polishes have been released in Italy, this was my first choice. Teal = ♥ However, the formula of this one is not so exciting, unlike Odyssey Blue. I have 3 complaints about it: poor coverage, poor brilliance without a top coat and the neverending drying. If you want to enjoy the beauty of this shade you need of a colored base, a transparent gloss and very very much patience. More, the hint of violet duochrome effect in the bottle remains in the bottle. But it's still a very nice shade, in the end. Yes, it is! :)

ITA: quando sono arrivati i Max Effect qui, questo smalto è stata la mia prima scelta. Ottanio = ♥ Devo dire, però, che la sua formulazione non mi ha fatta impazzire, a differenza di Odyssey Blue. Ho tre lamentele su di lui: poco coprente, poco brillante senza top coat e asciugatura infinita. Inoltre, l'accenno bicromatico viola in boccetta resta solo nella boccetta. A parte queste cose, aggirabili con una mutandaTM sotto, un po' di top coat e tanta tanta pazienza, direi che è decisamente carino. Sì, lo è, alla fin fine, dai! :)

TOTALLY RANDOM SUNDAY #42

ENG: it was a bit of time since my last Sunday post, but actually I didn't do so much shopping. But here we are after a new fast raid in Slovenija at DM - Drogerie Markt, and two dupes from my cousin's stash! ;D

ITA: era un po' che mancava l'appuntamento domenicale, un po' per pigrizia e un po' perchè, effettivamente, ho fatto pochissimo shopping, e, anche quel poco, molto oculato. Ma rieccoci qui dopo un altro piccolo raid sloveno da DM - Drogerie Markt, e dopo che cugina mi ha regalato due doppioni dal suo stash! ;D

DEPEND - 357 + DEPEND - 227

ENG: at DM I bought two new treasures from this Swedish brand! This time I've chosen a Shrek green with a slight silver shimmer, plus an intense spring green, also with silver shimmer, but a bit more evident.

ITA: al DM ho preso altre due piccole perle da questo brand svedese! Ho scelto un verde Shrek con lieve shimmer argento, e un verde primavera intensissimo, anche lui con shimmer argento, ma un po' più evidente.

MI-NY - 178 WATERWORLD + MI-NY - 70 PATIENCE

ENG: these two beauties are a gift from my cousin Barbara (visit her blog, Nail Polish Crazy! :D). They are from Mi-Ny, an Italian brand that does the best cremes I've ever tried, from my point of view. These are a medium toned teal and a purplish magenta, both are super pigmented, super intense, super glossy, super! And a little help from you: I joined a contest on the Mi-Ny Facebook Fanpage. ITA: queste due boccettuzze stupOnde sono un regalo di mia cugina Barbara (del blog Nail Polish Crazy, visitatelo! Adesso! No, prima finite di leggere questo post qui, dai... XD). Sono due smalti della Mi-Ny, il brand che, secondo me, fa le migliori lacche in assoluto, e non solo qui in Italia. Questi sono un ottanio di tonalità media e un magentone violaceo scuro, entrambi pigmentatissimi, intensissimi, lucidissimi, issimi! Dimenticavo! Sto partecipando ad un concorso sulla Mi-Ny Facebook Fanpage. S.HE STYLEZONE - EYESHADOW QUATTRO - 265 + 250 + 232

ENG: I've succumbed to these adorable and stackable like LEGOs mini palettes from S-HE Stylezone. Again. I believe I won't buy more of them in the near future, but just because I'm completely satisfied by them, so far. I've chosen a limited colorful quad (I was in love with the copper one!), a basic browns (always useful, especially so portable), and one with olives/jades (the teal is almost the same as a Kiko eyeshadow that has been dropped and broken ç_ç). Maybe they are not a top quality, but I think they are still lovely. ♥

ITA: ho ceduto di nuovo a queste adorabili mini palette della S.HE Stylezone impilabili come LEGO. Non credo cederò ancora a breve, ma solo perchè per ora sono più che soddisfatta di queste! Ho scelto un quad coloratissimo in edizione limitata (ero soprattutto innamorata del rame!), uno di marroni basico (sempre utile, tanto più se è così piccolo e portabile), e uno sui verdi oliva e giada (l'ottanio è quasi uguale ad un Kiko che mi si è spatasciato a terra ç_ç). Non saranno di qualità eccelsa, ok, ma penso siano comunque fantastici. ♥
